Font experiments

Magazine header

As i have now decided on a name for my magazine, Scene, I have started to decide what font and style i want to use throughout my magazine. I will use a classic convention of magazines and put the header along the top of my magazine. As it is short, it will come on the left side of the paper.

I would like my font to be clear but stand out whether this be achieved by a interesting font, or just simply outlining the word in a bold colour.
Here are the more complex fonts i experimented with.

I have decided to keep the fonts black and white for know whilst i continue to experiment as this way i can just see which font looks best. I plan to take colours from the front page image and use that to create the colour scheme which means it will not be overpowering as it will only include 2-5 colours. This will help create a finished, professional look to my final draft.
A more basic font to these would work as it is similar to other magazines for example Q or NME do not have any complicated fonts which could either overpower or be lost within the front pages. It needs to be catchy and easy to identify.
