Mock up magazine ideas

Here are some outline plans i made of all the ideas i had with layouts of pages during my research stages.

I found it hard to draw out a front cover without knowing what image to use and the proportions. Therefore i didnt have many ideas to draw out so i have posted my most likely one rather than all my drafts. I will then after looking at images etc experiment more with colour schemes and possibly use colours that are featured in the image to make a more fitting scheme.

For my contents page, i had more ideas of ways i could display text and pictures and also there was more independant choice as to where things can go etc as conventions of a contents page differ due to what type of magazine you are doing. These are some of the ideas i had.

Similarly to the contents pages i felt that i could do alot more experimenting with the double page spreads as i had a large space to fill. I had to consider what balance between pictures and writing looked fitting and also whether or not i had a strong enough image to fill a whole a4 side of the interview with. I will have to ensure my images and strong and eye catching and also fitting with the story line. These pages could turn out to be the weakest of my 4 due to the amount of writing and freedom you can have to go outside the conventions. Here are my mock up ideas.
